F.A.Q. CHARETTE

1_Thanks a lot for you reply

so you also have mentioned on your site that graduates can apply, so can I apply as a master student within a team of 5 from the landscape department of our university? my master thesis is related to landscape architecture

and about the new competition, could you please give me the link to the information as I can't find it on the website? are architectural students allowed to apply?

Thank you for your interest, you can definitely apply as a Master student.

You can also apply if you are a post graduate- student in Landscape Architecture.

Here you find the links to both the competition and the Charette:

2_I, Camila Gomes Sant’Anna, am a 33 years old professor of landscape architecture and urban planning at the Architecture and Urbanism Department of the University of Brasília.  I will participate at IFLA congress and I am interested in applying my students team to the Charette.  Is it possible to apply to participate as a tutor?  I intend to travel with my students.

Here you find the links to the requirements and the instructions:

http://www.ifla2016.com/it/p-139/students-charette/charette-participation-requirements

We are wonder if each student should send a individual curriculum?

APPLICATION is:

a collective portfolio of works and a short student profile describing each participant’s academic background (ateliers, workshops, essays...);

which answers to your last question.

Regarding your offer to be a tutor those positions are already decided, time is too short now to change the selection. Students teams could be helped by their own professors as a chaperon anyway, If they like to. So you might participate as a team mentor if you please.

Should you have more questions do not hesitate to write again.

3_We are going to apply for the Charette and now we have some problems about the number of group member. Dose each team must comprise 5 students? Because our group now have 4 students and we want to know if it meets the requirement. Looking forward to your reply.

Hi, thank you for your interest, the requirements and the instructions to apply are very clear:

http://www.ifla2016.com/it/p-139/students-charette/charette-participation-requirements

We asked the Board if it might be possible for the teams to apply in a slightly different number of members, and we are now waiting for an official reply. I do suggest you 4 to apply anyway.

4_I am a landscape architect and I have graduated in landscape architecture at Polytechnic of Turin, University of Genoa and University of Milan; now I am intern in Seacoop as a technical collaborator for landscape architecture design, but I would to apply to the post-degree Master in landscape architecture at Polytechnic of Turin.

I will have the admission test on February 15th, so I cannot be enroll in a University before the score of the test: in this situation is it possible to apply to the charette?

Furthermore, I would like to ask you if there is a minimum number of people for group.
I hope to meet you and participate to the charette.

Hi, thank you for your interest, here are the requirements and the instructions to apply:

http://www.ifla2016.com/it/p-139/students-charette/charette-participation-requirements

The Charette is addressed to schools which means that if you are alone in any case you could not have a

a collective portfolio of works and a short student profile describing each participant’s academic background (ateliers, workshops, essays...);

- a statement signed by the students’ professor attesting to their proficiency in communicating and presenting in written and spoken English.

as from the requirements.

In the same page you also find info on the number of participants admitted.

We are afraid your participation cannot be taken into account, unless you cannot meet the requirements.

Should you have more questions do not hesitate to write again.
